First meet
Li Man is a native of Zhang County in the Eastern Continent. He travelled around the three continents after his
family's fall, but was unable to enter the Immortal Sect due to his inability to sense the Qi. He joined the Iron
Bone Sect and travelled with the Duan Xuan Sect as a delivery agent. He was recruited by the master of the Zhenzheng Cave
because of his diligence.
Li Man spar with the cultivators in the sect with his mortal body, so he often injured, often injured and often
practiced, thus he became a great martial arts master, and his body became strong and healthy. With the help of his red
gold dragon stick, he was able to fight immortals with the strength of a mortal body.
Youth Trip
It is said that the world is hassling, all for nothing but benefit, the world is bustling, all for nothing but
interest. The three continents in ancient and modern times are the same, among them, the extreme case is the East
Continent. Yuzhou in the centre of the east continent of the Danyan Kingdom, there are four sides of the mountains and
rivers to resist the devil, fish and rice abundance, the people live peacefully and more merchants.
At that time, there were eleven counties in Yuzhou, with the abundance of Zhang County at the head. Under the Zhang
County there is Tong County, with the production of red copper and heard of the East Continent. Copper County Li's
family, was originally a large family in the county, sitting in the county minerals, but also has a hundred acres of good
land, good ponies immortal products can not be counted, the wealth accumulated three generations and rich against half
the city. Li Man was quite chivalrous when he was a young man, often travelling around the counties of Yuzhou with his
guests on swords, and every time he saw an injustice on the road, he either dispersed his money or drew his sword to help
out, and he gradually gained a good reputation in Yuzhou.
At that time, Liangzhou has immortal sects to help, it is gradually emerging market, gathering people from all
directions, and there is a situation where there is less land and more people. Li's clan leader heard about it,
pawned the clan's property, threw thousands of gold across the state and purchased more than a thousand acres of
land deeds in Liangzhou, trying to premium prices and trading to gain profit. Later, there are Liangzhou's powerful
nobility jealous of it, so they sent a number of fortune tellers to spread rumours in the market, saying that Li's
deed is unlucky, and then after a few months and fewer people to buy the deed. Li's family fell into ruin in a few
months, and the clansmen divided the remaining property and dispersed. Once a good horse and sword, all the young people
travelled well and happy; now the remaining poor wine, drinking alone with the moon sadness is difficult to describe. Li
Man then quits his family and travels the world.
One day, Li Man travelled to the outskirts of the Hundred Herb Sect, and had not eaten for a long time. See the
surrounding spiritual grass unattended, and sometimes there are pheasants pecking, so Li Man steal the spiritual grass
and catch pheasants, then flee to the broken temple in the mountains, remembering the taste of delicacies he tasted,
cooking a spiritual grass and pheasant soup. A short while later, a beggar came in search of flavour, Li Man shared the
food with him. The first taste, Li Man feel that the taste is not as good as before because there is no wine with it, but
also think of the time when the scene of the gathering of the guests, a moment of sadness catchs him so he began to cry.
The beggar surprised, thought the pheasant soup is poisonous, can confuse people's minds. After a careful
investigation, the beggar found nothing, so he laughed and searched for a clean place in the temple and sat down.
It was the night of the Chou hour, there is a devil to attack, Li Man fight with his life but can not win, and his
foot was wounded by the devil. Li Man crouched on the ground, thinking of nothing but death. Suddenly he saw the beggar
flying from the corner, and his body style is free from the world. Just see the beggar leisurely strike, the wooden staff
in his palm lightly pointing at the face of the devil, the devil was killed in a flash. And then the beggar said to Li
Man that a meal of grace has been returned, and thereafter the two do not owe each other. Then the beggar laughed loudly
and left the temple and gone.
Li Man, after this battle, felt that the difference between the immortals and the mortals is very far, and hoped to be
as free as the beggar among the world. So Li Man picks up the wooden staff left by the beggar and limps to visit the
immortal sects in the three continents. The journey to immortality is far away and its end is not yet known.
Martial Arts Theory
At the beginning, Li Man felt the difference between immortals and mortals, and thought that the brave ones should
take the path of immortality, so he travelled to three continents to visit the immortal sects, but the sects refused to
accept him because he could not sense the Qi. After a few months, Li Man recovered from his foot injury and changed his
wooden staff to a weapon. He started to travel to different states and learnt all the martial arts from mortals and made
a living as a deliver agent in his daily life. Afterwards, Li Man travelled to the North Continent and joined the Iron
Bone Sect, often helping Duan Xuan Sect to deliver goods, so he was able to view the interior of the Immortal Sect.
Whenever Li Man received a order from the Duan Xuan Sect, he used to deliver it overnight, and whenever he saw a cave
master, he would bow to him, begging him to take him under their guidance. Although all the cave masters felt that Li Man
was sincere and determined, they all rejected him because he could not sense the Qi. However, the master Zhenzheng of
Puzhao Cave did not think so, and gladly accepted him as his disciple. Others said that Master Zhenzheng was lazy and
needing a disciple to take care of his miscellaneous affairs, and he accepted Li Man because Li Man could not feel the
Qi, and he only needed to teach Li Man some basic knowledge, which could already cost Li Man's whole life, thus
saving master Zhenzheng a lot of effort and energy. However, Li Man was full of joy when he was admitted to the Immortal
Sect, and he did not care about the gossip.
When Li Man first entered the Forging Xuan, his fists could not shake the rock of the Xuan Tie Mountain, and he often
cracked his flesh while the stone wall was only cut down by a fraction of a millimetre, and his hands needed to be
treated with herbs regularly to prevent his muscles and bones from being damaged. After several months, Li Man opening
the cave during the day and sleeping on the ground at night, he finally got a square-inch hole, which can accommodate one
person sitting on the floor. Although the cave was small, it was the beginning of Li Man's cultivation.
However, Li Man usually only assists Xiao Bu in dealing with the miscellaneous affairs of the sect, so it is difficult
for him to meet his master, and he is politely refused to study in other caves. Li Man could only go to the centre arena
in his spare time every day to watch the disciples perform martial arts and memorise the moves of each cave. Afterwards,
Li Man tries to spar with his brothers and sisters, and every time he fights, his body is bruised and he needs to take a
medicinal bath to save himself. As a result, Xiao Bu complained and blamed Li Man for consuming a lot of spiritual herbs,
so she occasionally taught Li Man some self-defence moves to reduce his injuries.
After three years, Li Man has been forging his body through hard punches and kicks during sparring sessions, and
cultivating his mind through meditation, although he is not able to use the Qi, his body is getting stronger and
stronger. Li Man already knew all the moves in the sect, plus the mortal martial arts he learnt before joining the sect,
so he could be considered to be well versed in the martial arts. Now when Li Man is sparring, he often watches his
opponent's moves and knows where they are going, and when his opponent makes a move, he moves in advance, seeing the
moves and countering them, and with the protection of his wooden stick, his injuries are getting less and less serious.
Li Man's heart of a martial artist is gradually formed, combining all kinds of kung fu in one body, when he makes
a move, others see no move at all, and his punches, kicks and sticks contain the meaning of "peace". Although
Li Man still doesn't have Qi, he is no less than an ordinary cultivator.
Way of Water
There is nothing in the world more soft and weak than water, and yet for attacking things that are firm and strong
there is nothing that can take precedence of it;for there is nothing (so effectual) for which it can be changed. It was
rumoured that Li Man was born with a lack of water in Five Element, and his clan named him after Great Water. Afterwards,
Li Man's behaviour, often fighting with his weak against other's strength, was similar to water.
One day, when Tu Kui was instructing Li Man, he threw a few punches, all of which were blocked by Li Man's stick,
so he suspected that it was a magic weapon of the Immortals and borrowed it to test its firmness, and then he struck the
stick with all his strength for eighty-one times before breaking it into two parts. Tu Kui praised it for its material,
which was far better than ordinary magic weapons, and wanted to bring it to the Ding Lu Cave for repair. Li Man, however,
said that the stick was just an object outside the body, so it would be fine if it was broken. Tu Kui refused and took Li
Man to the Ding Lu Cave. The smith in the cave refused due to the fact that there is no good mine that can match with the
divine mechanism of the stick. Tu Kui was not happy, and was about to have a temper tantrum when Li Man took the copper
pendant from his waist and showed it to him, and he saw that it was the red copper of the East Continent. So the smith
melted Li Man's family heirloom of red copper for the chain, to chain the broken stick parts, and the rest of the
mine attached to its body, then put it into the Ding for 79 days to refine the Divine Weapon. The divine weapon seems to
break and not break, seems to fold and not fold, have a head and tail, and named the Red Gold Dragon Stick.
Li Man had got the divine weapon, and Tu Kui gladly invited him to fight again. They fought for a long time and Tu
Kui's punches and kicks were all blocked by the Red Gold Dragon Stick, Tu Kui was not happy, and he ran his Qi to
attack, Li Man gradually felt the pain in his hand, and was about to be unable to defend himself. At that time, Tu Kui
sudden stroke to attack, knocked Li Man's Dragon Stick out of his hand, and then another punch straight to Li
Man's heart, Li Man could not avoid only have to shield his arms to resist. Seeing Li Man's hands will be
broken by Tu Kui, the Dragon Stick is dissolved in the air, and the two sticks are transformed into two dragons by the
way of red gold generating water, which are coiled on Li Man's arms. At this time, Tu Kui's heavy fist is
coming, but this strike is like a stone sinking into the sea, a body of brute force has been unloaded for the most part.
Li Man resisted this punch, only felt the pain in both arms, but not a single hair was damaged. Tu Kui is very strange,
and then try a few punches all feel soft and weak, the strength can not be penetrated. Tu kui twisted his lips and
wondered, and said resentfully that they would choose a another day to compete, then turned around and went away.
Later, Li Man usually climbed the divine weapon on both arms without disturbing his fists, holding the stick to attack
and defend without blocking his stance. Li Man got the Red Gold Dragon Stick is like a fish in water, with the help of
this divine weapon can allow a mortal body be able to fight against the immortal.
Since then, Li Man has been cultivating in Duan Xuan Sect, still taking care of miscellaneous affairs, and often
injured by punches and kicks. However, his ambition became more and more lofty, and his heart was not affected by
ordinary gains and losses. The master Zhenzheng was very happy to see him and said that he had achieved the Way, and his
mental cultivation was far better than that of his disciples. With no qi to win the qi, it can be said that the weak is
stronger than the strong, and the soft is stronger than the hard.
Evaluate fellow daoist
About Ji Fangsheng: Eldest Brother once advised me that it is a waste of time to struggle on a path that does not belong to me. But if you ask me, I say that it is not necessary to care about what is at the end of the road, it is enough for us to focus on the insights that come from travelling forward.
About Tu Kui: Don't be intimidated by the sharpness of Brother Tu's punches. I am a firm believer that everyone's true enemy is themselves. Be prepared and treat each fight as an argument that needs to be taken seriously.
About Ye Meimei: Senior Sister Ye seems to have a lot of distractions in her heart, and it gets fuller and fuller, so much that every time she pours it out like a flood it causes a huge impact...... I know this feeling very well, and a few years ago I was just like her......
About Xiao Bu: Senior Sister Xiao Bu has assigned me some more miscellaneous affairs today. Actually, if you look at
all these things as part of the cultivation, it's not that painful to do them. For the most part, it's through
dealing with miscellaneous affairs that I'm better able to exercise my Dao heart.
About Li Cheng Yun: Beneath Fellow Daoist Li's boisterous exterior, I see the heart of a swordsman with exacting demands for her blade. No matter the hardship, she always finds a solution true to her sword path. I deeply admire that.
About Qi Wangyou: Fellow Daoist Qi knew I stole spirit herbs from the Hundred Herbs Sect to stave off hunger. Not only
was she unbothered, she healed me with her jade bottle of water, and even comforted me, saying, "Herbs destined to
aid the lone swan, no need for regret." Truly a sage's benevolent heart.
About Ling Yu: Sister Ling Yu comes to teach me techniques related to Qi every day. Seeing that I can't use any of them, she isn't in a hurry, but there seems to be some disappointment in her expression. Don't worry, one day I will comprehend Qi through my own efforts!
